Responsibilities for Accounting Assistant
- Calculate liabilities and prepare monthly reconciliation reports of sales tax liabilities
- Prepare and file various sales tax returns
- Verify and prepare Sales Tax Credits as required
- Print/run and distribute invoices/credits and various reports
- Sort/distribute incoming departmental mail and take outgoing departmental mail to mailroom
- Code and enter supplier credits for payables
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications for Accounting Assistant
- Desired experience includes 1-2 years' experience in the Accounting field
- Good communication skills including verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of or experience with PC, Microsoft Office software, various printers, facsimile, copier, calculator, multi-line phone
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting
